"Everyone has a right to develop their own voice so that they can be heard. By others and themselves" Your coach - Lynn Shaw

I am passionate about adults, parents and teenagers knowing that they can take responsibility for their own successful lives. For me coaching is about discovering what makes you happy and what you need to do and learn to make sure that you have the best possible life for you. I believe that the only person who really knows what makes you happy is you, though how often do we listen to ourselves?

How am I qualified? I believe my most important qualifications are personal:

I know about lack of confidence
I know about low self-esteem
I know about feeling alone
I know about struggling with depression
I know about feeling suicidal
I know about abuse
I know about feeling bad about your body
I know about being at war with food
I know about fear
I know about addiction

I know because I've been there

I also know about developing my own confidence
I know about discovering and making strong my self-esteem
I know about being successful
I know about liking myself
I know about being OK with my body
I know about looking after myself
I know about survival

I know because I'm here and that's where I am staying.

I also know that you need to have confidence in my ability to give you the best coaching service possible so my professional background is:

Working within the IT services sector of a blue chip organisation as a Human Resources Manager and Project Manager and then as a Project Management Consultant for an international IT Services organisation managing multi million pound projects.

I have designed and implemented many functions and processes within businesses. I have been in charge of the training, recruiting, happiness and sometimes sacking of up to 125 staff, getting my staff to work well together, helping people through the problem of being made redundant, or being disciplined. I have many years experience of training, mentoring and coaching covering self-esteem, confidence, relationships, communication, and problem solving. I am a trained facilitator.

I would say that my main strengths in business have been to help my staff realise that they are able to take responsibility for achieving their potential and resolve their own performance, behaviour and communication problems.

For many years I have carried out voluntary work with teenagers, especially teenagers struggling with life issues. Usually teens that because of a problem background are not equipped to deal with life in a way that's healthy for them, or teens who feel that the only way to cope with life's issues is through addiction.

I voluntarily give school talks on addictive behaviour and recovery to teenage audiences and teaching staff.

I am a professionally trained coach through Coach University USA. I am passionate about the ethics and standards of the industry and am both a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), the most rigorous independent professional body, and the Coachville Schools of Coaching.

For me coaching is driven by one thing:

My passion that people feel secure in who they are.

As a result they develop a strong core belief which enables them to tackle any issue in life. That is my belief based on the experience I have had to date.

As a parent I feel that is the greatest gift I can give to my own children. As a human being I feel that is the greatest gift I can give to any other person whatever their age.
